Terms & Conditions
Accommodation payments are set to cover the running costs of the family cottage. ie insurance, rates, power, gas and maintenance etc. A cost recovery of $10 per person is added on top of the $50 per night charge. This covers cleaning, laundry & other incidental items. Young children are welcome but must be properly supervised please! Some fragile items & dangerous stairs in the cottage.
1. Family rate - applies to all bone fide Pavitt descendants…
Plus members of the Saxton family who are paid up Friends of the Cottage. The Saxtons owned the cottage & ran the mill after the Pavitts - the trustees have agreed to include them in our wider group.
One night only: $60 plus $10 per person.
Two or more nights: $50 per night plus $10 per person per night.
All bookings (providing dates are available) will automatically be confirmed and fixed.
2. Non family rate - close friends/relations of Pavitt descendants may book the cottage but they must be 'vouched for' by a Pavitt descendant.
$80 per night plus $10pp per night.
3. Infants (not using cottage bedding) stay free - other children incur the $10 pp per night charge.

Would you kindly let Bryan Tichborne (email@example.com) know when you've transferred the funds & how much. It being a trust, we don't have online access to the account & have to wait for sporadic hard copy statements.
Otherwise post a cheque to Bryan at 16 Rue Balguerie, Akaroa 7520 - payable please to Pavitt Cottage Trust.

You'll need to bring:
Cell phone - no phone connected. Reception is sometimes patchy at the cottage, you may need to walk out to the gate.
All food and drink requirements.
Personal hair shampoo/conditioner, insect repellent, sun screen etc.
A torch per bedroom used, in case of power cuts/emergencies.
For longer stays - washing machine powder (top loading).
You won't need to bring :
Bedding or bed linen, bath towels or tea towels.
Any cutlery, crockery or cooking utensils.
Candles... The source of many house fires in older buildings!
Soap, washing up liquid & toilet paper… These items are normally to be found in the cottage but if any run out we’d appreciate you replacing them when necessary. Light bulbs that expire too please. Thank you.
Please let Bryan know if a gas bottle runs out.
